A Cooperativa Apícola do Sul – Cooapisul como instrumento de integração dos apicultores para o desenvolvimento da atividade apícola na região do Corede Centro Sul

Abstract

A apicultura na região do Corede Centro Sul caracteriza-se por ser uma atividade de caráter essencialmente familiar. A atividade apícola, além de causar baixo impacto ambiental, contribui para o sustento da agricultura familiar e de comunidades que tradicionalmente vivem da apicultura. A COOAPISUL, Cooperativa Apícola do Sul, tem tentado, através da união dos apicultores, romper o isolamento típico da agricultura familiar estabelecendo uma ligação entre esses apicultores e organizações publicas e privadas. Este trabalho caracterizado, como um estudo exploratório e qualitativo, viabilizado através de pesquisa documental, revisão da literatura e entrevistas com membro da COOAPISUL tem como objetivo descrever o histórico da Cooperativa enfatizando as parcerias que tem estabelecido com organizações públicas e privadas, sua situação dentro do Corede Centro Sul, seus esforços para sanar dificuldades, seu desenvolvimento e os benefícios gerados para seus associados. A COOAPISUL tem se mostrado eficiente nos resultados esperados pelos cooperativados, visto o envolvimento dos mesmos em relação às reuniões, ao qual vem aumentando os participantes em busca de interesses compartilhados na troca de experiências relatadas pelos cooperativados.

The apiculture in the region of COREDE Center-South is characterized by being an activity essentially based on subsistence farming. The beekeeping activity, besides having low environmental impact, contributes to the support of subsistence farming and the communities that traditionally make a living through apiculture. The COOAPISUL, COOPERATIVA APÍCULA DO SUL (Beekeeping Cooperative of the South), has tried with the assistance of beekeepers to break the typical isolation of subsistence farming establishing a connection among these beekeepers and public and private organizations. This work is an exploratory and quantitative study based on documental research, literature review and interviews with the member of COOAPISUL. The study has the objective to describe the historic of the COOPERATIVE and to emphasize the partnerships that have been established with public and private organizations, its situation in the region COREDE Center-South, its efforts to solve difficulties, its development and the benefits generated to its members. The COOAPISUL has proved to be efficient in relation to the results expected by its members. Their involvement and participation at the meetings have increased in search of shared interests through the exchange of experiences discussed by the members of COOAPISUL.
