Óbitos maternos por eclâmpsia no Brasil, Rio Grande do Sul e Porto Alegre de 1998 a 2006

dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma análise temporal da mortalidade ma-terna, utilizando as variáveis de número de consultas pré-natal, obesidade, cor/raça e fai-xa etária, no período de 1998 a 2006 no Brasil, Rio Grande do Sul e Porto Alegre. Trata-se de um estudo ecológico. As variáveis foram coletadas no banco de dados DATASUS. Para análise dos dados, foi realizado o método de estatística descritiva. Verificou-se que o Brasil obteve o maior percentual de redução (7,85%) de gestantes que realizaram zero consulta de pré-natal. Já Porto Alegre, obteve a maior percentagem (70,16%) de mulhe-res que realizaram de sete a mais consultas. O Rio Grande do Sul apresentou os maiores percentuais de obesidade, atingindo 38,14% em 2006. A faixa etária de maior predomi-nância de mortalidade materna foi entre 20 e 39 anos, obtendo o maior e o menor percen-tual, o Rio Grande do Sul, com valores de 76,92% e 7,69%, respectivamente. Os percen-tuais de mortalidade conforme cor/raça foram mais elevados no Rio Grande do Sul e em Porto Alegre, que atingiu o maior e o menor percentual, com 100% (1999) e 0% (2000), respectivamente. Contudo, a cor/raça negra também obteve os maiores e menores per-centuais em Porto Alegre, com 75% em 2001 e 0% em 1999, 2000 e 2006. Destaca-se a importância de vigilância quanto à mortalidade materna, havendo necessidade de reflexão constante quanto às ações na atenção à saúde da mulher. | pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | The present study aims to conduct a temporal analysis of maternal deaths, by variables of numbers of prenatal care, obesity, race/color and age in the period 1998 to 2006 in Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul and Porto Alegre. It is an ecological study. The variables were collectedin the database DATASUS. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. It was found that Brazil had the largest percentage reduction(7.85%) of women who did not have the pre-natal consultations. Yet Porto Alegre, had the highest percentage (70.16%) of women who had seven or more visits. The Rio Grande do Sul had the highest percentage of obesity, reaching 38.14% in 2006. The age of highest prevalence of maternal mortalitywas between 20 and 39 years, obtaining the highest and the lowest percentage, the Rio Grande do Sul, with values of 76.92% and 7.69% respectively.Mortality rate according to the color/ race were higher in Rio Grande do Sul and Porto Alegre, which reached the highest and the lowest percentage, with100% (1999) and 0% (2000), respectively. However, the color/race black (african american) also obtained the highest and lowest percentage in the same city, with 75% in 2001 and 0% in 1999, 2000 and 2006. We emphasize the importance of vigilance with regard to maternal mortality, there is a need for constant reflection on the actions in the women's health. | en |
