Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)
Abstract
This study sought to analyze a proposed project to cut rebar CA50 - 25 mm, aiming to reduce the amount of S1 tool steel used and a reduction of time devoted to exchange the razor during the lamination process at Gerdau Riograndense. New models were produced razor and razor holder of this coupling from the SolidWorks software. Subsequently, these stands were simulated as the cutting conditions in Abacus software. The results from the comparison between the current project proposal and show that ...
The results from the comparison between the current project proposal and show that there is an increase of stress distributions in the proposed project, but not enough to bring the material to fail in service. Regarding the exchange time knife, there was a significant reduction of changeover time. ...
