Entre missão institucional e sustentabilidade : um estudo sistêmico sobre a reestruturação organizacional da Fundação Iberê Camargo (2018 – 2025)

Abstract

Este trabalho investiga o modelo de gestão da Fundação Iberê Camargo, localizada em Porto Alegre (RS), no período entre 2018 e 2025, com foco em como a instituição articulou sua missão institucional com práticas de sustentabilidade organizacional após a crise administrativo-financeira, que veio à tona a partir de 2016. A pesquisa parte da perspectiva dos estudos sistêmicos da arte, compreendendo a instituição como parte de um ecossistema artístico em constante transformação, tensionado por disputas simbólicas, políticas públicas e estratégias de financiamento. O objetivo é analisar como valores institucionais, estrutura organizacional e estratégias de captação de recursos foram mobilizados para garantir a continuidade da Fundação e seu reposicionamento no sistema da arte do Rio Grande do Sul. Articulando contribuições de autores que discutem os vínculos entre arte, poder, curadoria, políticas culturais e gestão. Ao contribuir para esse debate, a pesquisa se propõe a oferecer subsídios não apenas para a compreensão de um caso específico, mas também para o fortalecimento de práticas institucionais mais conscientes e sustentáveis no campo da cultura. Com isso, este trabalho espera colaborar com o desenvolvimento de uma visão crítica sobre os mecanismos que moldam, sustentam e desafiam as instituições de arte na contemporaneidade.

This work investigates the management model of the Iberê Camargo Foundation, located in Porto Alegre (RS), between 2018 and 2025, focusing on how the institution articulated its institutional mission with organizational sustainability practices after the administrative and financial crisis that emerged from 2016. The research starts from the perspective of systemic studies of art, understanding the institution as part of an artistic ecosystem in constant transformation, stressed by symbolic disputes, public policies and financing strategies. The objective is to analyze how institutional values, organizational structure and fundraising strategies were mobilized to ensure the continuity of the Foundation and its repositioning in the art system of Rio Grande do Sul. Articulating contributions of authors who discuss the links between art, power, curatorship, cultural policies and management. By contributing to this debate, the research aims to offer subsidies not only for the understanding of a specific case, but also for the strengthening of more conscious and sustainable institutional practices in the field of culture. Thus, this work hopes to collaborate with the development of a critical view on the mechanisms that shape, sustain and challenge art institutions in contemporaneity.
