Ferramenta e vestígio : a musealização dos carimbos utilizados por Claudio Goulart (FVCB)

Abstract

Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso investiga a relevância da musealização dos carimbos que integram a subcoleção Claudio Goulart no acervo da Fundação Vera Chaves Barcellos (FVCB). O estudo tem como objetivo geral analisar o processo de musealização por meio das ações de salvaguarda implementadas junto a esses carimbos, que representam importantes vestígios da produção artística de Goulart. Os carimbos, objeto central deste estudo, são analisados na poética de Goulart como mais do que meros instrumentos técnicos, atuando como meios de expressão. Sua importância reside no fato de funcionarem como vestígios e pontos de acesso à obra e à trajetória do artista, permitindo a compreensão de seus conceitos e processos criativos. As ações de salvaguarda, que motivaram este trabalho e foram implementadas no âmbito do estágio curricular de Museologia na FVCB em 2024, desempenharam um papel crucial na musealização desses objetos. Em suma, esta pesquisa busca demonstrar a relevância da musealização dos carimbos de Claudio Goulart no acervo da FVCB. Ao serem submetidos a um processo científico de musealização e a rigorosas ações de salvaguarda, esses objetos são transformados em suportes de conhecimento e significado para a sociedade. Por fim, compreende-se que a preservação institucional não apenas garante a salvaguarda física, mas também possibilita a pesquisa acadêmica e a comunicação desses materiais a um público mais amplo, recontextualizando a obra de Goulart no panorama artístico brasileiro. Nesse sentido, este estudo valida a importância de reconhecer e preservar materiais que, embora não sejam obras de arte finais, são fundamentais para a compreensão da poética, dos processos criativos e das intenções de um artista, perpetuando um legado artístico significativo para futuras gerações.

This Undergraduate Thesis investigates the relevance of the musealization of the stamps that are part of the Claudio Goulart sub-collection in the archives of the Vera Chaves Barcellos Foundation (FVCB). The general objective of this study is to analyze the process of musealization through the safeguarding actions implemented for these stamps, which represent important vestiges of Goulart's artistic production. The stamps, the central object of this study, are analyzed in Goulart's poetics as more than mere technical instruments, acting as means of expression. Their importance lies in the fact that they function as traces and points of access to the artist's work and career, allowing for an understanding of his concepts and creative processes. The safeguarding actions, which motivated this work and were implemented within the scope of a Museology internship at the FVCB in 2024, played a crucial role in the musealization of these objects. In summary, this research seeks to demonstrate the relevance of the musealization of Claudio Goulart's stamps in the FVCB's collection. By being subjected to a scientific process of musealization and rigorous safeguarding actions, these objects are transformed into carriers of knowledge and meaning for society. Finally, it is understood that institutional preservation not only guarantees physical safeguarding but also enables academic research and the communication of these materials to a wider audience, recontextualizing Goulart's work within the Brazilian artistic panorama. In this sense, this study validates the importance of recognizing and preserving materials that, although not final works of art, are fundamental to understanding an artist's poetics, creative processes, and intentions, perpetuating a significant artistic legacy for future generations.
