Women gained their rights to education late, and black women even later. In this sense, this paper addresses the issue of admission via racial quotas and retention of black women in the UFRGS Administration course, analyzing the challenges that racism and sexism impose on this group in the academic environment. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether racial identity and representation are influential in the academic trajectory, whether there is a feeling of belonging and representation, and whether there is knowledge about student aid. In addition, this paper seeks to highlight the importance of the protagonism of these women as agents of social and economic transformation, highlighting that obtaining a degree in Administration contributes to the deconstruction of racial and gender stigmas, opening doors and serving as an example for other women to come. For the analysis, a qualitative study was conducted, in which responses were collected from an electronic questionnaire with open and closed questions, distributed to black women in the administration to respond voluntarily and anonymously, totaling 15 interviewees, with the aim of gathering the experiences and perceptions of these students. The results were demonstrated through graphs and analyzed using the hermeneutic-dialectical method. It was concluded that representation is still negligible within the university, most students are not aware of the student assistance programs available, which may mean little dissemination, in addition to being aware that racial identity is an important element in the academic trajectory of black women. ...
