Saúde mental e precarização : bem-estar de motoristas por aplicativo

Abstract

Diante do crescimento exponencial do trabalho mediado por aplicativos no Brasil, este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a relação entre as condições precarizadas de trabalho dos motoristas de aplicativos e o impacto dessas condições sobre o seu bem-estar. Considerando o contexto de vulnerabilidade e a ausência de regulamentação adequada, a pesquisa buscou responder como diferentes modelos de renda — única, principal ou complementar — influenciam a percepção de bem-estar desses trabalhadores. Para tanto, foi conduzida uma pesquisa quantitativa de cunho exploratório e analítico, analisando diversos indicadores de bem-estar pessoal em relação ao contexto laboral dos motoristas. Os resultados destacaram que, independentemente do modelo de renda, a satisfação consigo mesmo se revelou um fator central para o bem-estar dos motoristas. Por outro lado, a segurança no trabalho foi uma das áreas de maior insatisfação, fortemente associada à precarização das condições laborais. Além disso, a pesquisa identificou que, embora as condições de trabalho possam impactar negativamente a saúde física e mental, aspectos como relações familiares e espiritualidade exercem um papel protetivo significativo. As conclusões do estudo reforçam a necessidade de um olhar mais atento para as estratégias de enfrentamento desses trabalhadores frente à precarização e apontam para a urgência de políticas públicas e iniciativas que promovam a regulamentação e proteção social para esses profissionais

Given the exponential growth of app-based work in Brazil, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between the precarious working conditions of app-based drivers and the impact of these conditions on their well-being. Considering the context of vulnerability and the lack of adequate regulation, the research sought to answer how different income models — sole, primary, or supplementary — influence these workers' perception of well-being. To achieve this, a quantitative exploratory and analytical study was conducted, analyzing various personal well-being indicators in relation to the drivers' work context. The results highlighted that, regardless of the income model, self-satisfaction emerged as a central factor for the drivers' well-being. On the other hand, job security was one of the areas with the highest dissatisfaction, strongly associated with the precariousness of working conditions. Moreover, the research identified that although working conditions can negatively impact physical and mental health, aspects such as family relationships and spirituality play a significant protective role. The study's conclusions emphasize the need for a closer look at the coping strategies these workers employ in the face of precariousness and underscore the urgency of public policies and initiatives that promote regulation and social protection for these professionals.
