História e filosofia da ciência: o poder da cultura na educação química

Abstract

O presente trabalho consiste em uma pesquisa que busca evidenciar que há uma possibilidade de se produzir conhecimento atual através da literatura e história da ciência. A pesquisa é qualitativa, e faz uso da técnica de grupo focal em que se abordaram temas sobre gênero e drogadição numa perspectiva histórica: Feminino – A evidência da mulher na ciência; Drogas – Veneno ou remédio e Cotidiano e Extraordinário. Os resultados foram divididos em quatro categorias, de acordo com as percepções dos alunos e os objetivos específicos, mostrando que drogadição é uma temática recorrente e que a abordagem histórica facilita o entendimento e a fala dos alunos. Por sua vez, o mesmo não ocorre com as questões do feminino.

The present work consists of a research which attempts to show that there is a possibility to produce current knowledge through literature and history of science. The research is qualitative and makes use of the technique of focal group in which there was an approach of themes like gender and drug addiction in a historical perspective: Female – The evidence of women in science; Drugs – Poison or remedy and Daily life and Extraordinary. The results were divided into four categories, according to the perceptions of the students and the specific objectives, showing that drug addiction is a recurring thematic and the historical approach facilitates the understanding and the speach of the students. On the other hand, the same does not occur with women's issues.
