Le Havre : de cidade reconstruída a patrimônio moderno

Abstract

A cidade francesa Le Havre, reconhecida como Patrimônio Mundial da Unesco em 2005, teve seu centro urbano praticamente todo reconstruído após os bombardeios da Segunda Guerra Mundial. O longo processo que separa essas duas datas, de 1944, ano da destruição, a 2005, data do reconhecimento, foi marcado por inúmeras ações, discussões e agentes que se envolveram em sua patrimonialização. Este artigo discute essa jornada, lançando luz sobre a Le Havre do passado que foi reconstruída até a cidade reconhecida pela Unesco, mantendo o foco no campo do patrimônio e da preservação.

La ville française du Havre, reconnue comme patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco en 2005, a vu son centre urbain pratiquement entièrement reconstruit après les bombardements de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Le long processus qui sépare ces deux dates, de 1944, année de la destruction, à 2005, date de la reconnaissance, a été marqué par d'innombrables actions, discussions et agents qui ont impliqué sa patrimonialisation. Cet article aborde ce parcours, mettant en lumière le Havre d'autrefois, reconstruit jusqu’à la ville inscrite sur la liste de l'Unesco, en gardant le focus sur le domaine du patrimoine et de la préservation.

The French city of Le Havre, today a World Heritage Site recognized by Unesco in 2005, had its urban center practically rebuilt after the bombings of World War II. The long process that separates these two dates, from 1944, the year of destruction, until 2005, the date of recognition, was marked by countless actions, discussions and agents that involved its patrimonialization. This article addresses that path, shedding light on Le Havre from the past, which was rebuilt to the city listed on Unesco, keeping the focus on the field of heritage and preservation.
