Literatura, memória e história : um olhar testemunhal para Vista chinesa

Abstract

O artigo reflete sobre a obra Vista Chinesa, de Tatiana Salem Levy, com base na teorização sobre o testemunho, a memória e a história. A narrativa toma como ponto de ancoragem o estupro sofrido pela personagem principal, que relata aos filhos, através de uma carta, toda a cena envolvendo a situação traumática e as tramas indefinidas entre passado-presente-futuro que colocam a vida em suspenso e (des)organizam a temporalidade, o imaginário de si e a linguagem, que tenta falar sobre o impossível. A situação-limite do estupro ganha um corpo verbal sempre em falta que gira ao redor do corpo da mulher.

The article reflects on the book Vista Chinesa, by Tatiana Salem Levy, based on the theorization about testimony, memory, and history. The narrative takes as an anchor point the rape suffered by the main character, who tells her children, through a letter, the whole scene involving the traumatic situation and the undefined plots between past-present-future that put life on hold and (dis)organize temporality, the imaginary of the self, and the language, which tries to talk about the impossible. The extreme situation of rape gains a verbal body that is always lacking, which revolves around the woman's body.
