Ritual indígena Karõ Krahó : uma análise da produção imagética no Festival Folclórico de Parintins (2022)

Abstract

O estudo objetivou compreender a representação imagética do Ritual indígena Karõ Krahó: a batalha das almas, bem como identificar e descrever o “item 4” do regulamento da 55ª edição do Festival Folclórico de Parintins, apresentado pela Associação Folclórica Boi-bumbá Garantido, na primeira noite do referido Festival, em 2022. A pesquisa foi realizada nas dependências da “Cidade” Garantido (sede do boi) e Bumbódromo de Parintins. Surgiu a partir de inquietações referentes as observações das imagens nos cenários alegóricos apresentados pelos Bumbás, visto que a totalidade das imagens representadas não fazem parte do universo indígena. A Festa de Parintins é marcada pela rivalidade entre os Bois-bumbás: Caprichoso e Garantido. No entanto, a batalha na arena é de quem se apresenta melhor. Diante dessa premissa, buscou-se fazer um estudo de como os artistas elaboram essas imagens bem como quais os critérios de escolha utilizam ou mesmo quais fontes pesquisam para fundamentar as narrativas míticas dos povos originários do Brasil. Para tanto, fez-se uma Revisão de Literatura sobre autores que abordaram o Festival Folclórico de Parintins como Braga (2002,2022), Nogueira (2008,2014), Cavalcanti (2018), Farias (2005), Valentin (2005), Batalha (2010) Silva (2014 e 2015). Outros nos ajudaram a compreender questões sobre o como: Campbell (2002), Strauss (2000), Eliade (1972); sobre a cultura Cascudo (2001), Chauí (2000) Freire (2000), sobre as imagens como Manguel (2011). Optou-se em fazer um estudo de caso pragmático e descritivo quando acontecia o fenômeno folclórico. As observações evidenciaram esclarecimentos a respeito das fontes de imagens que os atores buscam para dar uma narrativa figurativa. Por fim, observou-se, de forma direta, o processo das concepções alegóricas em todas as suas etapas. Entende-se que a produção de imagens é um processo dinâmico que merece um estudo mais aprofundado, pois existem muitas lacunas que precisam ser preenchidas, sendo que se considera que a força comunicativa das imagens apresentadas nessa releitura vão mais além do que narrativas literárias.

We did a Literature Review on authors who addressed the Folkloric Festival such as Braga, Nogueira, Cavalcanti, Farias, Valentin, Batalha and Silva. Others helped us understand how questions: Campbell, Strauss, and Eliade; about Cascudo, Chauí and Freire culture, about images like Manguel and Shapiro. We chose to carry out a pragmatic and descriptive case study when the folkloric phenomenon occurred. The observations brought us clarification about the sources of images that the actors seek to give a figurative narrative. finally, we directly observe the process of allegorical conceptions in all its stages. We understand that the production of images is a dynamic process that deserves a deeper study, as many gaps need to be filled, and we believe that the communicative strength of the images presented in this reinterpretation goes beyond literary narratives.
