A multiplicidade da voz negra : contexto feminino nos romances Niketche e As Alegrias da Maternidade

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta a importância da literatura feminina africana como uma forma de "quebrar" o cânone literário ocidental dentro das instituições, destacando a necessidade de se revisar estereótipos femininos e o modo que enxergamos as mulheres. Através da literatura, é possível refletir sobre a multiplicidade feminina encontrada na literatura africana, levando em conta a riqueza étnica existente no continente africano. Os romances Niketche e As Alegrias da Maternidade permitem reflexões sobre a multiplicidade feminina e as transformações vivenciadas pelas mulheres africanas, essas obras são uma fonte rica de reflexão e debate para entendermos melhor a sociedade os feminismos, e assim, quebrar paradigmas e preconceitos ainda presentes no mundo literário e acadêmico. Por meio de suas personagens, as escritoras Chiziane e Emecheta conseguem dar voz e representação para aqueles que historicamente tiveram poucas oportunidades de se expressar, reafirmando o direito à fala e à auto representação dessas mulheres nas suas respectivas sociedades. Embora a colonização política tenha acabado, suas raízes culturais ainda estão presentes e em ambos os países é possível perceber uma hierarquia da supremacia masculina, uma herança da colonização, na qual as mulheres sofrem tripla opressão por raça, classe e identidade de gênero. A pesquisa também apresenta a contextualização histórica dos países Nigéria e Moçambique, incluindo o impacto duradouro da colonização/imperialismo na formação identitária e racial, e analisa o feminismo e como ele é entendido por autoras africanas do sul global e autoras ocidentais. O objetivo da pesquisa é apresentar que por meio da literatura escrita por mulheres é possível se colocar no lugar delas, pois as obras literárias abordam temas que estão em sintonia com a realidade vivenciada em suas sociedades, demonstrando possibilidades alternativas de análises que podem ser elaborados a partir do entrelaçamento entre história e literatura. A importância dessas narrativas não se limita apenas à representação de grupos historicamente silenciados, mas também na construção de novos horizontes sociais e culturais. Em resumo, a literatura feminina africana e o estudo da literatura afro-brasileira é uma ferramenta valiosa para promover a reflexão e o debate sobre a multiplicidade feminina e a cultura africana, a fim de superar preconceitos e estereótipos presentes na sociedade e no meio acadêmico.

This work presents the importance of African women's literature as a way to 'break' the Western literary canon within institutions, highlighting the need to revise female stereotypes and the way we perceive women. Through literature, it is possible to reflect on the female multiplicity found in African literature, taking into account the ethnic richness existing on the African continent. The novels Niketche and The Joys of Motherhood allow for reflections on female multiplicity and the transformations experienced by African women. These works are a rich source of reflection and debate to better understand society, feminisms, and thus break paradigms and prejudices still present in the literary and academic world. Through their characters, writers Chiziane and Emecheta manage to give voice and representation to those who historically had few opportunities to express themselves, reaffirming the right to speech and self-representation of these women in their respective societies. Although political colonization has ended, its cultural roots are still present, and in both countries, it is possible to perceive a hierarchy of male supremacy, a legacy of colonization, in which women suffer triple oppression based on race, class, and gender identity. The research also presents the historical context of Nigeria and Mozambique, including the lasting impact of colonization/imperialism on identity and race formation, and analyzes feminism and how it is understood by African authors from the global South and Western authors. The objective of the research is to demonstrate that through literature written by women, it is possible to put ourselves in their shoes, as literary works address themes that are in tune with the reality experienced in their societies, demonstrating alternative possibilities of analysis that can be developed through the intertwining of history and literature. The importance of these narratives is not limited to the representation of historically silenced groups but also in the construction of new social and cultural horizons. In summary, African women's literature and the study of Afro-Brazilian literature are valuable tools for promoting reflection and debate on female multiplicity and African culture, in order to overcome prejudices and stereotypes present in society and the academic sphere
