Este trabalho versa sobre o diagnóstico da prática de alvenaria estrutural e faz a análise da viabilidade da adoção do sistema racionalizado com blocos cerâmicos, com foco em obras comuns na Região do Vale do Taquari, Rio Grande do Sul. Este trabalho versa sobre o diagnóstico da prática de alvenaria estrutural e faz a análise da viabilidade da adoção do sistema racionalizado com blocos cerâmicos, com foco em obras comuns na Região do Vale do Taquari, Rio Grande do Sul. O trabalho segue com a revisão da bibliografia acerca do assunto. Na sequência, é realizado o levantamento de dados em obras construídas com o sistema de alvenaria estrutural, bem como junto a fornecedores de blocos cerâmicos estruturais. Tais levantamentos serviram de base para o diagnóstico da prática construtiva recorrente em obras da Região. Da mesma forma, embasaram a avaliação da aplicação do sistema construtivo racionalizado, praticado em outros locais, como uma obra localizada na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre, também pesquisada. A realidade da cadeia de fabricantes de blocos cerâmicos estruturais também é abordada neste trabalho, com enfoque nos tipos de produtos fornecidos, suas características e em aspectos desse mercado. Assim, o trabalho se torna uma ferramenta para auxiliar os profissionais da área na adoção de práticas do sistema em alvenaria estrutural racionalizado, com base nas vantagens e desvantagens de cada escolha. ...
