Theatro São Pedro e o legado de Eva Sopher : estudo de auditoria de imagem da morte de um icone da cultura do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender o papel da mídia na construção de imagens, e discutir o processo de auditoria de imagem no contexto organizacional. Com enfoque no Theatro São Pedro e Eva Sopher, expõe-se um panorama geral com os principais acontecimentos históricos da instituição e da ex-presidenta. A partir disso, analisa-se as matérias dos jornais Correio do Povo e Zero Hora na semana consecutiva à sua morte, com objetivo geral de reconhecer como os jornais Zero Hora e Correio do Povo apresentaram a relação da presidenta Eva Sopher com a instituição Theatro São Pedro, na semana consecutiva à sua morte em 2018. Desse modo, os objetivos específicos são: identificar os temas mais recorrentes utilizados para apresentar a relação de Eva Sopher com o Theatro São Pedro e verificar os gêneros jornalísticos das matérias analisadas. Para tanto, utiliza-se dos métodos de análise de conteúdo (FONSECA, 2006) e auditoria de imagem na mídia (BUENOS, 2012). Reconhece-se que ambos jornais apresentam temáticas similares, que podem ser classificadas em três categorias: Eva Sopher como “Gaúcha por opção”; Eva Sopher e sua atuação na reconstrução do TSP e o futuro da instituição; e Eva Sopher como guardiã da Arte e da Cultura. Conclui-se que a relação é apresentada com base nos preceitos de carinho, afeto e amor.

The present research aims to understand the role of media in image construction and discusses the process of image audit in the organizational context. Focusing on Theatro São Pedro and Eva Sopher, a general overview is presented with the main historical events of the institution and its former president. Based on this, the articles from the newspapers Correio do Povo and Zero Hora in the week following her death are analyzed, with the general objective of recognizing how both newspapers presented the relationship between Theatro São Pedro and Eva Sopher in the week of February 8th to 15th, 2018. Thus, the specific objectives are to identify the most recurring themes used to present Eva Sopher's relationship with Theatro São Pedro and to verify the journalistic genres of the analyzed articles. For this, the methods of content analysis (FONSECA, 2006) and image auditing in the media (BUENOS, 2012) are used. It is observed that both newspapers present similar themes, which can be classified into three categories: Eva Sopher as a "Gaúcha by choice"; Eva Sopher's role in the 1975 reconstruction and the future of the institution; and Eva Sopher as guardian of Art and Culture. It is concluded that the relationship presented is based on the principles of care and affection.
