Metáforas do leitor : presença da ditadura civil-militar na literatura infantojuvenil brasileira contemporânea

Abstract

A presente pesquisa analisa obras contemporâneas voltadas ao público infantojuvenil que trazem como temática em seus enredos a ditadura civil-militar, iniciada em 1964 até meados de 1985. Procura-se evidenciar o papel da leitura e da literatura como uma das mediações possíveis do processo histórico e da memória dos tempos ditatoriais, tendo como ponto de partida a função metafórica do leitor presente nas obras, na perspectiva de produzir novos sentidos à realidade. Como ponto de partida, foi realizado um resgate da produção de literatura para jovens leitores no país, do seu surgimento, no final do século XIX, até a produção em plena vigência do regime civil militar. Nesse contexto, os acontecimentos históricos foram explicitados, tendo como referência a trajetória de autores que enfrentaram, em seus textos, o sistema autoritário estabelecido. A obra O leitor como metáfora: o viajante, a torre e a traça (2018), do escritor argentino-canadense Alberto Manguel, norteia a leitura do corpus. O livro aponta algumas figurações do leitor no mundo ocidental. Desta forma, houve uma aproximação do leitor viajante a Quintal de sonhos (2018), de Christian David, com ilustrações de Natália Gregorini; do leitor na torre de marfim à obra Clarice (2019), de Roger Mello, com ilustrações de Felipe Cavalcanti; do leitor como traça que a tudo devora à coletânea Felizes poucos: onze contos e um curinga (2016), de Maria José Silveira, com ilustrações de Maria Valentina Fraiz. Para além de um aprofundamento sobre o período da ditadura civil-militar, suas motivações, consequências e desdobramentos, procurou-se entender o poder do leitor diante de textos repletos de metáforas problematizadoras, que levam a uma atitude reflexiva, atuante nas formas de interpretação do mundo, o que se apresenta como ameaça a qualquer governo ou poder autoritário.

This research analyzes contemporary works aimed at children and young people that bring the civic-military dictatorship as a theme in their plots, which began in 1964 until mid-1985. It seeks to highlight the role of reading and literature as one of the possible mediations of the historical process and the memory of dictatorial times, having as a starting point the metaphorical function of the reader present in the works, in the perspective of producing new meanings to reality. As a starting point, a rescue of the production of literature for young readers in the country was carried out, from its emergence, at the end of the 19th century, to the production in the full force of the civic-military regime. In this context, the historical events were explained, with reference to the trajectory of authors who faced, in their texts, the established authoritarian system. The work The reader as a metaphor: the traveler, the tower and the moth (2018), by the Argentine-Canadian writer Alberto Manguel, guides the reading of the corpus. The book points out some figurations of the reader in the western world. In this way, there was an approximation of the traveling reader to Backyard of dreams (2018), by Christian David; from reader in the ivory tower to Clarice (2019), by Roger Mello; from the reader as a moth that devours everything to the collection Happy Few: eleven short stories and a joker (2016), by Maria José Silveira. In addition to deepening the period of the civic-military dictatorship, its motivations, consequences, and developments, an attempt was made to understand the power of the reader in the face of texts full of problematizing metaphors, which lead to a reflective attitude, active in the ways of interpreting the world, which presents itself as a threat to any government or authoritarian power.
