Neste trabalho procuro analisar algumas conexões entre o volume de investimentos, as formas de gerenciamento e a exposição na mídia de anatomias masculinas contemporâneas. A partir de conceitos pertinentes às teorias culturais, como representação, identidade, diferença e masculinidade, busco indicar as formas como o corpo vem sendo distintamente vivido e educado, inscrito e registrado, dentro de diferentes ritmos de produção e consumo, de prazer e dor. Destaco ainda algumas representações que ao longo do tempo vêm marcando a musculatura masculina como algo monstruoso, em especial body-builders e pit-boys, e as diferentes formas de se constituir e de se mostrar viril dentro desse espetáculo anatômico. ...

Through this work I intend to analyze some connections among investment volume, management ways, and media exposition of contemporary male anatomies. From concepts related to cultural theories, such as representation, identity, difference, and masculinity, I mean to indicate the different ways how body has been lived and educated, inscribed and registered within different rhythms of production and consumption, of pleasure and pain.
