Representações culturais construídas pelas judocas gaúchas por meio de suas experiências nos Jogos Olímpicos

Abstract

A presente dissertação de mestrado trata sobre atletas gaúchas de judô, que participaram das edições dos Jogos Olímpicos, realizadas no período de 2000 à 2016. Para amparar esta pesquisa, realizamos revisão bibliográfica, a fim de compor o estado da arte, o referencial teórico-metodológico sobre a História Cultural e História Oral, onde o objetivo central da pesquisa se apresenta como: compreender as representações culturais construídas pelas judocas gaúchas na sua trajetória esportiva, desde a iniciação até a participação nos Jogos Olímpicos, nas edições de 2000 até 2016. Concluímos que a trajetória esportiva das judocas gaúchas, tendo início em tempos e espaços distintos, chegam a um ponto de convergência: a “Sociedade Ginástica Porto Alegre, 1867” (SOGIPA). Este clube centenário se constituiu no século XXI como uma referência de prática do judô de alto rendimento, não apenas para os homens, mas para as mulheres. Ao preservar a memória oral das judocas gaúchas, ponderamos que contribuímos com indícios, não apenas para a História e Memória do Esporte no Rio Grande do Sul, mas para futuros estudos direcionados ao entendimento da condição contextual das mulheres no esporte.

This master's thesis deals with judo athletes from Rio Grande do Sul, who participated in the editions of the Olympic Games, held from 2000 to 2016. To support this research, we carried out a bibliographical review, in order to compose the state of the art, the theoretical- methodology on Cultural History and Oral History, where the central objective of the research is presented as: to understand the cultural representations constructed by the judokas from Rio Grande do Sul in their sporting trajectory, from their initiation to their participation in the Olympic Games, in the editions from 2000 to 2016. that the sporting trajectory of judokas from Rio Grande do Sul, starting in different times and spaces, reached a point of convergence: the “Sociedade Ginástica Porto Alegre, 1867” (SOGIPA). This centennial club was established in the 21st century as a reference for the practice of high-performance judo, not just for men, but for women. By preserving the oral memory of judokas from Rio Grande do Sul, we consider that we contribute with evidence, not only for the History and Memory of Sport in Rio Grande do Sul, but for future studies aimed at understanding the contextual condition of women in sport
