De Wanda Maximoff à Feiticeira Escarlate: a jornada da personagem no universo cinematográfico da Marvel

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como tema a construção da personagem Wanda Maximoff na narrativa do universo cinematográfico da Marvel. Para compreendê-la, ampara-se tecnicamente em três pilares teóricos: a análise sobre o herói, a construção feminina na cinematografia e a narrativa transmidiática. Entende-se, na construção teórica, sobre a importância do personagem, da narrativa transmidiática convergente e das relações entre público e herói. Situa-se a figura feminina nesse contexto, também, com a heroína e a anti-heroína. A partir desses conceitos, analisa-se a jornada da personagem Wanda até sua concepção como Feiticeira Escarlate. Considera-se os conceitos do Neomito, de Creed (2007), em relação a cinematografia, bem como os de Jenkins (2009) e Jung (2000). É dessa forma que se verifica a construção e jornada da personagem transmídia Feiticeira Escarlate.

The present work focuses on the construct of the character Wanda Maximoff in the narrative of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). To understand it, it’s technically supported by three theoretical pillars: the analysis of the hero, the feminine construction in cinematography and the transmedia narrative. In the theoretical chapters we still talk about the importance of the leading figure, understanding the transmedia convergent narrative as so the relationship between audience and hero. Still, the female figure is situated in this context, too, with the heroine and the anti-heroine. From all of these concepts, the journey of the character Wanda until her conception as Scarlet Witch is analyzed. This analysis considers the relationship of the concepts of Neomyth, by Creed (2007), with the cinematography, as well as the concepts of Jenkins (2009) and Jung (2000). That’s how the construction and journey of the transmedia character Scarlet Witch is verified in this work.
