Ilhas e arquipélagos: fragmentos geopoéticos de literatura transareal

Abstract

Ilhas e arquipélagos – fragmentos geopoéticos de Literatura Transareal investiga a presença e o papel da ilha na Literatura, abordando-a em uma viagem por diversas referências literárias e relacionando-as com aspectos de sua forma geológica. A partir de sua constituição enquanto forma geológica e literária, navegamos em busca de suas relações com o mundo, observando seus movimentos de ruptura, de fechamento e de abertura para com outras ilhas e para com continentes, em um trânsito que performa um arquipélago. A ilha figura em escritos literários clássicos e canônicos, dos quais alguns são tratados nesta tese e, juntamente com a contribuição de teóricos da Literatura e da Geografia, formam a base de referência para a análise de dois textos contemporâneos: Raga, uma viagem ao continente invisível, de Le Clézio e Ilhas, de Wilson Bueno. Em um esforço transdisciplinar, a presente pesquisa buscou por meio da leitura de Eric Dardel e de Yi-Fu-Tuan, dentre outros, observar conexões entre o homem e a Terra, em busca de reconhecer na ilha sua potência enquanto forma física integrada ao meio-ambiente e às experiências humanas. A partir dela, as ressonâncias dessa forma geológica analisada em textos de Ottmar Ette foram de fundamental importância na construção de uma ideia ampliada de ilha e assim, observá-la para além de sua extensividade nos textos literários. Além disso, os estudos desse romanista alemão foram basilares, adotando-se aqui conceitos cunhados por ele, como vetorização e transarealidade, e também recorrendo a seus estudos sobre o movimento, que estão intrinsicamente ligados à ideia de ilha.

Ilhas e arquipélagos – fragmentos geopoéticos de Literatura Transareal untersucht die Präsenz und die Rolle der Insel in der Literatur, nähert sich ihr auf einer Reise durch mehrere literarische Referenzen und setzt sie mit Aspekten ihrer geologischen Form in Beziehung. Von ihrer Konstitution als geologische und literarische Form aus navigieren wir auf der Suche nach ihren Beziehungen zur Welt, beobachten ihre Bruch-, Schließ- und Öffnungsbewegungen zu anderen Inseln und zu Kontinenten in einem Transit, der einen Archipel darstellt. Die Insel taucht in klassischen und kanonischen literarischen Schriften auf, von denen einige in dieser Arbeit behandelt werden und zusammen mit dem Beitrag von Literatur- und Geographietheoretikern die Referenzgrundlage für die Analyse zweier zeitgenössischer Texte bilden: Raga, “Besuch auf einem unsichtbaren Kontinent”, von Le Clézio und Ilhas, von Wilson Bueno. In einer transdisziplinären Anstrengung versuchte die vorliegende Forschung, unter anderem durch die Lektüre von Eric Dardel und Yi-Fu-Tuan, die Verbindungen zwischen dem Menschen und der Erde zu beobachten und versuchte, in der Insel ihre Kraft als eine physische Form zu erkennen, die in der Umwelt und in den menschlichen Erfahrungen integriert ist. Von daher waren die in Texten von Ottmar Ette analysierten Resonanzen dieser geologischen Form von grundlegender Bedeutung, um eine erweiterte Vorstellung von der Insel zu konstruieren und sie damit über ihre Weite hinaus in literarischen Texten zu beobachten. Darüber hinaus waren die Studien dieses deutschen Romanisten grundlegend, indem er von ihm geprägte Konzepte wie Vektorisierung und Transarealität aufnahm und auch auf seine Bewegungsstudien zurückgriff, die untrennbar mit der Idee einer Insel verbunden sind.

Ilhas e arquipélagos – fragmentos geopoéticos de Literatura Transareal investigates the presence and the role of the island in Literature, approaching it in a journey through several literary references and relating them to aspects of its geological form. From its constitution as a geological and literary form, we navigate in search of its relations with the world, observing its rupture, closing and opening movements towards other islands and towards continents, in a transit that performs an archipelago. The island appears in classical and canonical literary writings, some of which are dealt with in this thesis and, together with the contribution of theorists of Literature and Geography, form the basis of reference for the analysis of two contemporary texts: Raga, uma viagem ao continente invisível, by Le Clézio and Ilhas, by Wilson Bueno. In a transdisciplinary effort, the present research sought, through the reading of Eric Dardel and Yi-Fu-Tuan, among others, to observe connections between man and the Earth, seeking to recognize in the island its potency as a physical form integrated into the environment and the human experiences. From there, the resonances of this geological form analyzed in texts by Ottmar Ette were of fundamental importance in the construction of an expanded idea of the island and, thus, to observe it beyond its extensiveness in literary texts. In addition, the studies of this german romanist were fundamental, adopting concepts coined by him, such as vectorization and transareality, and also resorting to his studies on movement, which are intrinsically linked to the idea of an island.
