Thus, thequestion is: how can the Right to Information help in reflections on fake news andmisinformation? This study conducts a literature review focused on the characteristics of misinformation, fake news and the society of the spectacle. It is understood that the society of the spectacle becomes a feedback from the "false reality" itself, induced to such an act by themedia corporations, which hold the informational power of social relevance, thirstingfor centralizing and limiting access to information, as well. as in making a profit for the content produced and disseminated. As there are difficulties in distinguishing fake news fromother concepts, which invade the category of fake news, society, unable to move away from the illusion promoted by the effervescent circulation of images and speeches, both imprecise andmisleading, can find in the Right to Information helps to reduce the negative impacts of misinformation. ...
