O Lugar da Différance em Elvira Vigna

Abstract

Esta dissertação analisará três romances da escritora Elvira Vigna (1942 – 2017), à luz do conceito da différance, cunhado por Jacques Derrida, bem como do conceito de pósmodernismo, de Fredric Jameson. Em uma perspectiva desconstrucionista, busca-se neste trabalho a operação simultânea com o materialismo histórico, aliada à prática de Gayatari Chakravorty Spivak, que contribuirá aqui por uma abordagem crítica feminista. Os livros analisados são: Deixei ele lá e vim (2006), Nada a Dizer (2010) e Como se estivéssemos em palimpsesto de putas (2016). Os romances aqui resgatados tratam de questões como o feminismo, a narração e a pós-modernidade. Ao escrever suas histórias, Vigna também demonstra sua reflexão sobre o tempo histórico e a sobreposição do espaço sobre o tempo nas mais diversas manifestações culturais, artísticas e teóricas da atualidade. No primeiro capítulo, haverá uma reflexão sobre a desagregação da temporalidade e a relação desse fenômeno com a arte. No segundo, interpretações espaciais e a dimensão espacial da forma narrativa serão abordadas. No terceiro, serão trazidas para a discussão o recorte de gênero e o modo como ele opera como mais um desdobramento da différance. A sobreposição dessas questões no texto da autora atua como uma reflexão alegórica dupla, que será desmembrada neste trabalho para bem entender suas múltiplas oportunidades de interpretação, bem como a problematização da ideia de interpretação como fim último do ato de leitura.

This dissertation will analyze three novels by Brazilian writer Elvira Vigna (1942 – 2017) in the light of Jacques Derrida concept of différance, as well as Fredric Jameson's concept of postmodernism. From a deconstructionist perspective, this work seeks a simultaneous conversation with historical materialism and the practice of Gayatari Chakravorty Spivak, who contributes with a feminist critical approach. The analyzed books are Deixei ele lá e vim (2006), Nada a Dizer (2010) and Como se estivéssemos em palimpsesto de putas (2016). These novels include themes such as feminism, storytelling, and postmodernity. Throughout her writing, Vigna also demonstrates her reflection on temporality and the overlap of space over time in the most diverse cultural, artistic and theoretical manifestations of the present time. The first chapter brings a reflection on the disintegration of temporality and the relationship of this phenomenon with art. In the second chapter, spatial interpretations and the spatial dimension of the narrative will be addressed. The third chapter is focused on gender related issues, and how they act as another branch of différance. The overlay of these questions in Vigna's text acts as a double allegorical reflection, which is dismembered in order to better understand its multiple possibilities of interpretation, as well as questioning the idea of interpretation as the ultimate goal of the act of reading.
