The present study managed, within a diagnosis, to demonstrate that the local emergency decision-making was necessary and efficient - the D-dimer value of 6mg/dL found found - the D-dimer value found proves to be a substantial value patient, but much of the close reference value already pre-established (<0.5mg/dL), considering a negative predictive value of 95%, demonstrating that there is no difference in the value of the cutoff point for without the new coronavirus. Considering that, when D-dimer is requested in emergency care, we need to have a value that gives us relative security in releasing a patient without the need to perform an additional study to exclude PTE, in this study it was observed that, values lower than 1.84mg/ dL, in patients with Covid-19 infection, seems to be a good cutoff point to have a high negative predictive value, around 75.4%, in line with what is found in the literature 17,18 . .However, if we aim for a greater sensitivity, around 95%, this value drops to 0.66%.en
