Gesto como categoria linguística : incorporação ou exterioridade teórica?

Abstract

No presente artigo, apresentamos uma discussão do gesto como categoria linguística, a partir da problematização inicial de Badir (2019), a qual nos remete aos enlaces entre a Retórica e o paradigma dos Estudos Enunciativos, bem como à articulação gesto e figura. Partimos da tradição retórica e seus enlaces com a linguística, tal como desenhada por Fiorin (2020), bem como aprofundamos uma possível abordagem da relação gesto e figura no texto “Observações da função freudiana na linguagem”, de Émile Benveniste. Nesse texto, constatamos que a enunciação está vinculada à chamada propriedade correspondencial da linguagem. Por fim, abordamos a noção de figura e sua relação com a dimensão inconsciente em Lyotard (1971). A título de ilustração da propriedade correspondencial da linguagem, elaboramos uma análise de dois poemas, Los espejose Al espejo,sobre o espelho de Jorge Luis Borges.

In this article, wediscuss gesture as a linguistic category, based on Badir's problematization (2016), that show the relation between Rethorics and Enunciation studiesand the articulation between gesture and figure. Our starting point is the rhetorical tradition and its links with linguistics (as conceived by Fiorin, 2020) and we explore a possible approach to the gesture-figure relationship in the text “Remarks on the function of language in Freudian discovery” by Émile Benveniste. In this text, we find that the utterance is related to the corresponding property of language. Finally, we approach the notion of figure and its relation with the unconscious dimension in Lyotard (1971). To illustrate the corresponding property of language, we develop an analysis of two poems, Los espejos and Al espejo, by Jorge Luis Borges about the mirror.
