O empreendedorismo vem se tornando tema de debates atuais a nível mundial. No Brasil, sobretudo, o crescente aumento no número de microempreendedores individuais a partir da Lei Complementar nº 128/2008 traz o questionamento de quanto o brasileiro deseja empreender individualmente ou destaca a realidade precária do mercado de trabalho que não é capaz de absorver a mão-de-obra disponível. Ao mesmo tempo em que o cenário mostra a constante abertura de novas empresas, também pode evidenciar o agravamento de pontos críticos já existentes nas relações de trabalho, como a precarização e a ausência ou ineficiência de políticas públicas. Aproveitando esse debate atual, a presente pesquisa pretende levantar, por meio da Teoria das Representações Sociais, os motivos pelos quais empreendedores individuais decidiram trabalhar desta forma e as significações dessa escolha. Na busca desses significados esta pesquisa desponta questões relacionadas à identidade do trabalhador individual, às dificuldades enfrentadas no cotidiano e como ele se vê (ou não) inserido no contexto das políticas públicas para a categoria. ...

Entrepreneurship has become a topic of current debates worldwide. Entrepreneurship has become a topic of current debates worldwide. In Brazil, especially, the growing increase in the number of individual microentrepreneurs since the Complementary Law No. 128/2008 brings the question of how much Brazilians want to undertake individually or highlights the precarious reality of the labor market that is not able to absorb the available labor? At the same time that the scenario shows the constant opening of new companies, it can also show the worsening of critical points already existing in labor relations, such as precariousness and the absence or inefficiency of public policies. Taking advantage of this current debate, the present research intends to raise, through the Theory of Social Representations, the reasons why the individual entrepreneur decided to work this way and the meanings of this choice. In the search for these meanings, this research highlights issues related to the identity of the individual worker, the difficulties faced in everyday life and how he sees himself (or not) inserted in the context of public policies for the category. ...
