A cidade e suas representações : compreender provisoriamente o espaço urbano

Abstract

Este artigo é um recorte de uma pesquisa realizada a partir da preocupação de uma professora-pesquisadora da rede municipal de ensino no município de Cachoerinha/RS. Seu objetivo inicial é fazer reflexões sobre a sua prática para compreender como o trabalho com a cidade facilita a construção do conceito de Espaço Geográfico para o entendimento do mundo. Partindo do lugar de vivência dos sujeitos alunos, a cidade de Cachoeirinha, que se confunde com o município, a pesquisa vai tecendo diálogos a fim de problematizar os conceitos de lugar, identidade e espaço urbano, com uma proposta pedagógica que dialogue com a história e a formação territorial da cidade de Cachoeirinha/ RS, refletindo sobre as representações e os significados que os alunos têm do lugar onde vivem. O traçado metodológico está fundamentado na abordagem qualitativa, por meio da pesquisa participante, tendo suporte teórico de produções bibliográficas relacionadas ao objetivo destacado anteriormente. A pesquisa foi pensada através da Complexidade como alicerce de inquietações. Ao final, sugerem-se reflexões e ações que permitam ao professor repensar as suas práticas de ensino.

This article is based on the concern of a teacher-researcher from the municipal education network in the city of Cachoerinha / RS to reflect on her practice to understand how working with the city facilitates or not the construction of the concept of Geographic Space for the understanding of the world. Starting from the place of experience of the student subjects, the city of Cachoeirinha, we weave dialogues in order to problematize the concepts of place, identity and urban space. Based on pedagogical proposals that dialogue with the history and territorial formation of the city of Cachoeirinha / RS, we reflect on the representations and meanings that students have of the place where they live. The methodological outline is based on the qualitative approach, through participant research, with theoretical support of bibliographic productions related to the objective highlighted above. We use Complexity as the foundation of our concerns. At the end, we suggest reflections that allow the teacher to rethink his teaching practices.
