Sentimentos e percepções do pai quanto a sua presença na sala de partos

Abstract

O estudo identifica as percepções e de sentimentos dos pais que assistiram ao nascimento do seu filho bem como daqueles que não tiveram esta oportunidade. Foi aplicado um instrumento estruturado, com perguntas abertas e fechadas, junto a 138 pais em um hospital ensino de Porto Alegre. A partir dos resultados, ficaram evidenciados os sentimentos de alegria dos pais que assistiram ao parto e de desejo de assisti-lo por parte daqueles aos quais não foi oferecida esta oportunidade. Sugere investigar as percepções e sentimentos da mulher e da equipe de atendimento quanto à presença do pai na sala de partos.

This study analyses the perceptions and the feelings of the parents that saw their son's birth and also of those people that have never had this opportunity before. A estrutured instrument was used with open and closed questions between 138 parents in a Porto Alegre's hospital. The results showed the happiness of the parents that saw the delivery and the wish o f the people that never had this chance, to saw it. The study suggests some investigations about the perception and the feelings of the woman and the team about the father's presence inside the delivery-room.
