Olhares acerca das exposições de arte: uma perspectiva histórica

Abstract

O presente artigo aborda como as mudanças que ocorreram na postura dos museus – de seu caráter privado à sua dimensão pública - foram responsáveis pela revisão da forma, dos elementos e das dinâmicas expográficas até então utilizadas na concepção das exposições. Apresenta-se uma abordagem histórica acerca das exposições de arte e suas transformações expográficas, pontuando alguns dos principais modelos expositivos que surgiram ao longo do século XX. Propõe-se uma reflexão acerca das diferentes estratégias museológicas e comunicacionais que foram sendo concebidas pelos museus de arte, identificando transformações e influências que demarcam os espaços expositivos atualmente.

This article discusses how the changes that occurred in the posture of museums - from its private character to its public dimension- were responsible for reviewing the shape, elements and expographic dynamics used in the design of the exhibitions. It presents a historical approach about art exhibitions and their expographic transformations, punctuating some of the main exhibition models that emerged throughout the 20th century. It is proposed a reflection on the different museological and communicational strategies that have been conceived by art museums, identifying transformations and influences that demarcate the exhibition spaces today
