Supported by Gender Studies, with a post-structuralist dimension, we must consider that our educational institutions are biased by gender scripts that dimension our view and guide the conduct of the subjects. This text was produced through the findings of two surveys that were produced at different times (BELLO, 2006; ZANETTE, 2018), however, both were focused on the first stage of basic education. It emerged from the findings that the strangeness of the presence of the male teacher in Early Childhood Education is ratified by the moral panic that has been produced historically. This panic translates the male subject as having an uncontrollable sexuality, consequently, dangerous to the students. However, it is clear that these obstacles can be seen as elements that contribute to the constitution of a male professionalism that works in different school environment. ...
