As mulheres pescadoras artesanais de Tramandaí/RS e os resíduos da pesca

Abstract

O presente trabalho trata de uma pesquisa sobre o destino dos resíduos produzidos pelo beneficiamento dos pescados oriundos da pesca artesanal no município de Tramandaí, RS. Considerando a importância da preservação do meio para a qualidade da água, e para a manutenção da biodiversidade, surge o questionamento de como a pescadora realiza suas práticas de descarte de resíduos resultantes do beneficiamento do pescado. Essa pesquisa trata de um estudo de caso de cunho qualitativo. Nela foram realizadas observações no ambiente de pesca e beneficiamento, e entrevistas semiestruturadas com as pescadoras locais. A pesquisa mostrou que a mulher pescadora mesmo desconhecendo as razões científicas para realizar o descarte correto dos rejeitos da pesca, demonstrou conhecimentos que foram forjados na cultura local, pois vem realizando à sua maneira práticas relacionadas as noções de sustentabilidade. Com essa pesquisa não se buscou julgar erros e acertos de suas práticas, apenas conhecer o que as pescadoras artesanais fazem com seus resíduos.

The present work is a research on the residues destination produced by the beneficiation of the fish originated from the craft fishery in the city of Tramandaí, RS. Considering the importance of preserving the environment for water quality and for the maintenance of biodiversity, the question arises as to how the fisherwoman practices her waste disposal practices resulting from the fish processing. This research deals with a qualitative case study. Its observations were made in the fishing and processing environment, and semi-structured interviews with the local fishermen. The research showed that the fisherwomen, even though they did not know the scientific reasons for the correct fish waste discarding, showed knowledge that was based in the local culture, since it has been part of their practices related to the notions of sustainability. With this research was not intended to judge errors and correct their practices, only to know what the craft fisherwomen do with their waste.
