A indústria têxtil nacional uma análise das transformações do setor após a abertura comercial dos anos 1990

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca analisar as transformações da indústria têxtil após a abertura comercial brasileira da década de 1990. Para isso, realizou-se uma revisão teórica das principais teorias de internacionalização de empresas, uma retrospectiva histórica e uma apresentação e análise de dados para comparar os períodos pré e pós abertura comercial. O processo de aumento das importações de produtos têxteis asiáticos levou a uma desestruturação da cadeia produtiva têxtil e à perda de importância desse setor para a indústria nacional. O governo brasileiro abriu mão de uma política protecionista em prol da abertura comercial e a indústria têxtil sofreu os impactos da ascensão de novas potências, principalmente a China, em seu mercado interno. Através deste estudo, é possível obter um panorama geral da indústria têxtil e perceber historicamente e quantitativamente as mudanças pelas quais o setor já passou.

The present work seeks to analyze the transformations of the textile industry after the Brazilian trade opening of the 1990s. For this, a theoretical review of the main theories of internationalization of companies, a historical retrospective and a presentation and analysis of data were carried out to compare the pre and post trade opening periods. The process of increasing imports of Asian textile products has led to a disruption of the textile production chain and the loss of importance of this sector for the domestic industry. The Brazilian government has given up a protectionist policy in favor of trade liberalization and the textile industry has suffered the impact of the rise of new powers, especially China, in its domestic market. Through this study it is possible to obtain an overview of the textile industry and to perceive historically and quantitatively the changes that the sector has already gone through.
