TV Mulher: a televisão como lugar de memória

Abstract

Este artigo reflete a importância da televisão na construção da memória sobre a representação feminina e parte de reflexões referentes à memória, relações de gênero e sobre o papel social da televisão. Buscamos compreender de que forma a televisão constrói a memória sobre a representação feminina, através do programa TV Mulher, e problematizamos a sua importância como lugar de memória. Nosso corpus foi delimitado em edições do TV Mulher de 1980 e de seu remake em 2016. O material foi investigado a partir da Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 2016) e da Análise do Modo de Endereçamento (GOMES, 2011). Na fundamentação teórica, utilizamos, entre outros, os conceitos de Joan Ferrés (1998), Marialva Barbosa (1995) e Pierre Nora (1993). Os resultados mostram que a televisão constrói a memória do Brasil ao registrar a realidade da sociedade e por seus conteúdos poderem ser revisitados em diferentes épocas, constituindo-se em um lugar de memória.

This study reflects on the importance of the television for the memory construction about the female representation, considering the reflections about memory, gender relations and the social role of the television. We aim to understand how the television construct the memory about the female representation on a tv show called TV Mulher - Woman TV, in English - and we problematize its importance as a memory place. We studied tv programs of TV Mulher in 1980 and 2016, with an updated version. We investigated it from the Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2016) and the Analysis of Addressing Modes (GOMES, 2011) perspectives. As theoretical contribution we brought concepts explored by authors like Joan Ferrés (1998), Marialva Barbosa (1995) and Pierre Nora (1993). The results showed television constructs Brazil’s memory when it registers the social reality, and it contents can be revisited in different times, constituting, itself, a place of memory.
