Mãos aventureiras : literatura em língua de sinais

Abstract

O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas na ação de extensão Mãos Aventureiras, cadastrada na Pró-Reitoria de Extensão da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Mãos Aventureiras é um projeto criado para a produção de traduções de obras literárias na língua de sinais que são disponibilizados no canal Mãos Aventureiras no YouTube. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é ampliar o conhecimento sobre a Literatura por meio da língua de sinais. A metodologia de trabalho é de tradução cultural de obras da literatura infantil. As políticas de inclusão escolar criam a necessidade de ampliação de materiais visuais e bilíngues para alunos surdos e as mídias auxiliam para o conhecimento da Literatura. Como resultados parciais, destaca-se o amplo acesso à literatura, ampliação de vocabulário em língua de sinais e aproximação da cultura da comunidade surda.

This article's objective is to present the activities developed in the Mãos Aventureiras extension action, registered in the Pro-Rectory of Extension of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Mãos Aventureiras is a project created for the production of translations of literary works in sign language that are made available on the Mãos Aventureiras YouTube Channel. The general objective of this work is to increase knowledge about Literature through sign language. The methodology used is based on the cultural translation of works of children's literature. The policies of school inclusion create the need for the amplification of visual and bilingual materials for deaf students and the media help in the knowledge of Literature. Partial results include the broad access to literature, the expansion of vocabulary in sign language and the approximation of the culture of the deaf community.
