Tecendo vínculos : o papel da solidariedade na vida das moradoras do Lar Emanuel

Abstract

Esta pesquisa pretende analisar os vínculos gerados por mulheres, brancas e negras, com idades entre 40 e 70 anos, que possuem deficiências mentais, foram vítimas da violência do abandono pelos familiares e acolhidas pelo Lar Emanuel, em Porto Alegre. A partir do conceito de moral presente nos estudos de Durkheim, uma das principais referências desta pesquisa, busca-se articular as questões de religião e moralidade e sua conexão com a solidariedade, de forma a justificar a existência e a continuidade do Lar Emanuel. As análises pretendem mostrar de que forma esses elementos são impulsionadores para criação de novos vínculos com e entre as mulheres que habitam o Lar. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, que utiliza a pesquisa bibliográfica e a observação não participante para a obtenção de dados sobre o tema e sobre o campo deste estudo. Obteve-se dados referentes ao dia a dia das mulheres a partir de entrevistas abertas e semiestruturadas com funcionários e voluntários, e utilizou-se a entrevista narrativa com o fundador do Lar, para se obter características e dados não publicados sobre a instituição. Igualmente, foram efetuadas entrevistas abertas e semiestruturadas com doadores, para identificar os motivos da ação de doar, buscando-se conexões entre a doação e os vínculos com e entre as usuárias. As análises foram feitas apresentando-se elementos formais das falas de cada entrevistado, contrapondo com os dados obtidos no referencial teórico. Como resultado, percebe-se que as pessoas que fazem doações ao Lar Emanuel estão fortemente ligadas à religião, agem segundo a moral e entendem o quanto é importante ajudar aquelas mulheres abandonadas. A maioria dos doadores considera que estabeleceu um vínculo com as usuárias; as usuárias, por sua vez, em todas as observações realizadas, demonstram ter conhecimento e apreço por todos que ajudam e são solidários.

This research aims to analyze the bounds generated with and between white and black women, aged 40 – 70 years, that have mental disability, have suffered of abandoned by their families and have been cared by the Household Emanuel, in Porto Alegre. From the concept of morality that is present in Durkheim studies, one of the primary reference of this research, one seeks to articulate religion and morality issues and its connections with solidarity, in order to justify the existence and the continuity of the Household. The analyzes intend to reveal how these elements are drivers to the creation of new bounds with and between the women that live in the Household. This is an exploratory study, that uses the bibliographic research and the non-participant observation to obtain data about the theme and the field of the study. Data for the day by day of the women were achieved from the open and semi structured interviews that have been made with employees and volunteers, the narrative interview has been used with the Household founder, in order to get characteristics and non-published information about the Institution. Likewise, open and semi structured interviews were held with donors, to identify which are the reasons to donate, searching for connections between donations and bounds with and between the women with mental disabilities that are living in the Household. The analyzes have been made by presenting expressive elements from the words of each respondent, contrasting them with the data obtained in the theoretical framework. As a result, it can be noticed that individuals who donate to Household Emanuel are strongly connected to the religion, they act in accordance with moral and understand the importance of helping those women that have been abandoned.
