Estratégias necropolíticas na regularidade de mortes de mulheres lésbicas em seriados norte-americanos

Abstract

Nesta monografia analisamos as estratégias necropolíticas, a partir do conceito de Mbembe (2016), inerentes às mortes de personagens de mulheres lésbicas nos seriados televisivos norte-americanos. Para isso, exploramos a linguagem das séries televisivas e a sua relação com a representação e a criação do que se entende por “real”, além de promover uma retomada histórica dos personagens LGBT na televisão. Ademais, fazendo uso de conceitos de Foucault (1984) e Butler (1990; 2000), abordamos a construção do corpo lésbico neste ambiente. Tal percurso teórico conduziu a identificação de três estratégias necropolíticas emergentes dessas mortes: Diferenciação, Punição e Silenciamento.

In this monography we analyze the necropolitic strategies, based on the concept of Mbembe (2016), inherent in the deaths of characters of lesbian women in the North American television series. To this end, we explore the language of television series and its relation to the representation and creation of what is meant by "real", as well as promoting a historical revival of LGBT characters on television. In addition, using concepts from Foucault (1984) and Butler (1990; 2000), we approach the construction of the lesbian body in this environment. This theoretical course led to the identification of three emerging necropolitic strategies: Differentiation, Punishment and Silencing.
