Contribuições das agroindústrias rurais familiares : um estudo de caso no município de Ernestina-RS

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as contribuições da agroindustrialização para a agricultura familiar do município de Ernestina-RS, buscando responder a seguinte indagação: quais as mudanças sócio produtivas para os agricultores familiares de Ernestina-RS a partir da estratégia da agroindustrialização? Para o problema definido foram analisadas apenas as agroindústrias familiares legalizadas no município, desta forma o estudo foi realizado em quatro propriedades rurais que possuem agroindústrias legalizadas. Para a coleta de dados sobre o processo de legalização das agroindústrias foram realizadas entrevistas com os proprietários das agroindústrias e com os gestores da prefeitura e extensionistas. Os principais resultados do estudo de caso foram que das quatro agroindústrias estudadas, três pretendem ampliar as atividades e uma irá se manter como está. Foi constatado que o processo de legalização é complexo e muitas vezes deixa o agricultor em dúvidas sobre legalizar-se ou não, em virtude de ainda não serem efetivas as ações que coíbem o livre comércio de produtos produzidos artesanalmente e sem registro no município. A agroindustrialização oportunizou aos agricultores maior inserção nos mercados e oportunidades para a experimentação através da criação de novos produtos. Foi possível constatar a transformação de cada família, que a partir da criação da agroindústria vislumbra a sucessão para os filhos, visto estes já serem incluídos na nova atividade. Estudos deste tipo permitem obter informações importantes sobre a dinâmica das pequenas agroindústrias familiares locais e percebe-se que, quando a propriedade agrega valor aos seus produtos, ocorrem mudanças sociais e produtivas significativas para a família.

The objective of this study was to analyze the contributions of agroindustrialization to family agriculture in the municipality of Ernestina-RS, seeking to answer the following question: what are the socio-productive changes for the family farmers of Ernestina-RS from the agroindustrialization strategy? For the defined problem, only the family farms legalized in the municipality were analyzed, in this way a study was carried out in four rural properties that have legalized agribusinesses. In order to collect data on the legalization process of the agroindustries, interviews were carried out with the owners of the agroindustries and with the city managers and extension agents. The main results of the case study were that of the four agroindustries studied, three intend to expand the activities and one will remain as it. Has been verified that the legalization process is complex and often leaves the farmer in doubt about legalizing or not, because the actions that curb the free trade of products produced by hand and without registration in the municipality are not yet effective. Agroindustrialization gave the farmers greater market insertion and opportunities for experimentation through the creation of new products. Was possible to verify the transformation of each family, which from the creation of the agroindustry sees succession for the children, since these are already included in the new activity. Studies of this type allow get important information about the dynamics of small local family agroindustries and it is noticed that when property adds value to its products, significant social and productive changes for the family occur.
