Importância da diversificação para a sucessão rural no município de Nova Alvorada - RS

Abstract

Tendo como objetivo geral definir e analisar a importância da diversificação de atividades, na agricultura familiar, identificando as vantagens e os limitantes dessas atividades, de forma geral e na comunidade da Linha Morangueira, no município de Nova Alvorada-RS, este trabalho apresenta algumas considerações sobre a diversificação da produção nas propriedades de agricultura familiar, bem como do processo de sucessão rural. Justifica-se a realização do estudo, em função da necessidade de verificar os motivos que levam os jovens sucessores a se manterem nas propriedades, buscando novas atividades rentáveis dentro da mesma. A metodologia utilizada foi bibliográfica, além de pesquisa de campo, com três produtores do município de Nova Alvorada RS. Segundo a análise dos resultados contatou-se que a diversificação da produção auxilia na manutenção da propriedade, bem como na permanência dos jovens no campo, visto que as três propriedades visitadas apresentam esta característica, ou seja, são administradas por jovens que optaram por permanecer na propriedade. Portanto conclui-se que a diversificação da produção é importante para o processo de sucessão rural.

With the general objective of defining and analyzing the importance of the diversification of activities in family agriculture, identifying the advantages and limitations of these activities, in general and in the community of the Morangueira Line, in the municipality of Nova Alvorada- RS, this paper presents some considerations on the diversification of production on family farms, as well as the process of rural succession. It is justified to carry out the study, due to the need to verify the reasons that lead the young successors to remain in the properties, seeking new profitable activities within the same. The methodology used was bibliographical, as well as field research, with three producers from the municipality of Nova Alvorada RS. According to the results analysis, the diversification of production assists in the maintenance of the property, as well as the permanence of young people in the field, since the three properties visited have this characteristic, that is, they are administered by young people who have chosen to remain in the property. Therefore, it is concluded that the diversification of production is important for the process of rural succession..
