O personagem como janela de leitura : um estudo sobre literatura e recepção

Abstract

O presente trabalho versa sobre um elemento característico da literatura: a fantasia. Partindo da perspectiva de que é na literatura infanto-juvenil que a fantasia se torna mais representativa, pretende-se demonstrar que há, nessas narrativas, personagens que funcionam como janelas de leitura, que conduzem o leitor para além de sua própria realidade, inserindo-o no maravilhoso do texto. Ao adentrar o mundo de um texto através das janelas de leitura abertas por um personagem, o leitor é tomado pelo envolvimento com a narrativa. A partir desse envolvimento realiza-se o confronto com o texto lido, o que gera em si uma transformação. O personagem, passando pelos eventos e situações do texto, pode também defrontar-se com essa transformação, gerada pelas experiências da narrativa. Assim, podemos pensar o percurso do personagem como metáfora das possibilidades de envolvimento e transformação do próprio leitor.

The present work is about a characteristic element of literature: the fantasy. Starting of the perspective that it is in juvenile literature that fantasy becomes more representative, it is intended to demonstrate that, in these narratives, there are characters that work as reading windows, that lead the reader to beyond of its own reality, inserting it in the wondrous of the text. When entering the world of a text through the reading windows opened by a character, the reader is taken by the involvement with the narrative. From this involvement is done the confrontation with the read text, wich generates in itself a transformation. The character, passing by events and situations of the text, can also defront itself with this transformation, generated by the narrative experiences. Thus, we can think the character's journey as a metaphor of the possibilities of involvement and transformation of the reader itself.
