Abstract
This article will present a research project that deals with theory and practice of portuguese language teaching - PROPEL. This article will present a research project that deals with theory and practice of portuguese language teaching - PROPEL. The group investigates, among others subjects, criterias usually used in valuation process of pupil's texts at school. It will be related an expierence realized with two different groups: the first group consists of 42 professional teachers of a public school at Porto Alegre/ Rio Grande do Sul; the second group is compound of 28 scholars of the University of Rio Grande do Sul/Brasil who will be teachers very soon. The searchers have two goals with this expierence: 1º) they want to know how much linguistics knowledge affects the process; 2º) they have interess too in knowing what kind of expectation do the teachers have about theirs pupil productions. ...
