Azul na história da arte

Abstract

A presente pesquisa busca analisar o modo de utilização da cor azul ao longo da história da arte. Iniciando com a descoberta dos primeiros pigmentos e a chegada destes a Europa Ocidental abordando também a influência das civilizações orientais. Este estudo se divide em dois campos: o azul atmosférico e o azul utilizado de forma pontual. Através dessa ótica percorreremos alguns dos períodos da História da Arte pontuando os principais artistas que se enquadram no tema da pesquisa tendo como divisor de águas o azul de Yves Klein. Esperamos com isso um maior entendimento sobre a utilização da cor no processo criativo e a incidência da cor azul, uma cor tão utilizada e com uma simbologia tão diversa que abrange várias culturas.

The present research seeks to analyze the way of using the color “blue” throughout the history of art. Beginning with the discovery of the first pigments and the arrival of these to Western Europe and also addressing the influence of the Eastern civilizations. This study is divided into two fields: the atmospheric blue and the blue used in a punctual form. Through by this perspective, we will go through pass for some of the periods of the History of Art by punctuating the main artists who fit the theme of the research having as a water divider, the blue of Yves Klein. We thus expect a greater understanding of the use of color in the creative process and the incidence of blue color, a color so widely used and with such a diverse symbology and that it covers many cultures.
