Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)
Abstract
The industrial sectors in Brazil requires large amounts of electrical and thermal energy and this behavior is the same for Rio Grande do Sul, approximately 21% of the state consumption. The present paper presents a bibliographic research on national and international articles to identify industrial sectors and production processes with potential for solar water heat applications. It’s presented the industrial activity and solar radiation for the Rio Grande do Sul, concluding that there are favo ...
It’s presented the industrial activity and solar radiation for the Rio Grande do Sul, concluding that there are favorable conditions to solar industrial water heating. F-Chart software was used to simulate the performance of the solar system in four breweries in Porto Alegre. Finally, the economic viability was calculated based on the annual energy gains and the system costs, depending on the collector area. The internal return rate showed better results for systems with consumption higher than 300 kg/day. ...
