Logística reversa de pós-consumo : explorando motivações e superando limitações

Abstract

Encontrar equilíbrio entre baixo custo e elevado padrão de qualidade, considerando aspectos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável e atendendo às reivindicações da sociedade, consiste em um relevante desafio para as empresas. Neste cenário, áreas como a Gestão Sustentável da Cadeia de Suprimentos, especialmente a Logística Reversa Pós-consumo vêm ganhando destaque. Diante disto, o objetivo principal deste estudo consiste em investigar limitações e oportunidades presentes nas práticas de logística reversa pós-consumo de uma indústria de carrocerias e ônibus – Bus S.A., localizada no Rio Grande do Sul. O foco da análise foram os materiais e embalagens, especialmente de produtos químicos, utilizados pela empresa e que retornam, ou deveriam retornar, aos seus fornecedores. O método utilizado foi o estudo de caso, com realização de entrevistas e observação não participante. Os dados foram analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo. Os principais resultados apontam que as práticas de Logística Reversa são amplamente influenciadas pela articulação dos atores das Cadeias Produtivas e, principalmente, pelas políticas públicas de incentivo e suporte ao descarte correto. A redução de custos advindas destes processos foi outro fator observado no estudo. Como principal limitação para estas práticas, tem-se o custo do frete de recolhimento e o custo da destinação apropriada das embalagens de produtos químicos.

A great challenge for the companies nowadays is to find a balance between a low cost and a high standard of quality, considering aspects of Sustainable Development and complying with the society’s claims. In this scenery, fields as Sustainable Supply Chain Management, mainly the reverse logistic post-consume is highlighted. So, the main goal of this research consists of investigating restraints and opportunities in the practices of reverse logistic post-consume of the body’s and bus’s industry – Bus S.A., located in Rio Grande do Sul. The focuses of investigation were materials and packaging mainly of the chemical products used by the company and that return or should be returned to its suppliers. The method adopted was the case study, with interviews and non-participant observation. Data were analyzed through the content analysis. The main results show that the reverse logistic practices are widely influenced by the productive chain agents’ dispute and mainly by public policies of incentive and support to the right discard. In this study, lower costs were perceived by adding this process in the chain. As the main limitation of these practices, there is the cost of recollection and the cost of proper disposal of chemicals containers.
