Este trabalho de conclusão de curso busca analisar a construção e desconstrução da personagem Regina / Rainha Má na série norte-americana Once Upon A Time, sob o recorte das quatro primeiras temporadas da série. O estudo busca refletir teoricamente acerca das narrativas seriadas, televisuais e complexas contemporâneas, sobre a origem e formação dos contos de fada, e sobre o processo de construção de personagens, em especial de personagens vilãs femininas. A metodologia foi composta por quatro etapas que visam desconstruir a personagem da Rainha Má, considerando a sua linha cronológica na série, dois Arcos da Vilania, pontos traumáticos e processos de transmutação. Diferentemente dos contos de fada, a Rainha Má de Once Upon A Time apresenta um perfil psicológico complexo, potencializado através da sua trajetória de vida, juntamente com aspectos que fogem do antagonismo baseado em características únicas e clichês, evidenciando a tendência contemporânea de vilões complexos e fascinantes, mais próximos da identificação com o público. ...

This Final Paper seeks to analyze the construction and deconstruction of the character Regina / Evil Queen in the North American series Once Upon A Time, under the focus of the first four seasons of the series. The study aims to theoretically reflect about the serial narratives, televisual narratives and complex contemporary narratives, about the origins and formation of fairy tales, and the character building process, particularly villainous female characters. The methodology consisted of four steps aimed at deconstructing the Evil Queen character, considering her timeline in the series, two Arches of Villainy, traumatic points and transmutation processes. Unlike the fairy tales, the Once Upon A Time‟s Evil Queen presents a complex psychological profile, potentiated by her life story, along with aspects that are beyond the antagonism based on unique features and clichés, highlighting the contemporary trend of complex and fascinating villains, with a closer identification with the public. ...
