| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | One of the determining factors for osseointegration to occur with respect to the surface of dental implants. The biological response is directly related to the physicochemical properties of surfaces. This study aims to review the different types of surfaces of dental implants and correlated with rate of osseointegration, the chemical composition and surface roughness. It was observed that the implants have a surface roughness greater primary stability and modifying the mechanisms of interaction with its cell surface compared to a smooth surface. The surface treatment can be done by soaking in acids, sandblasting or electrochemical treatment by plasma spray and laser. In the acid treatment, the surface roughness of the implant becomes homogeneous, no increase in the active surface area and consequently enhances the chance of bioadhesion of cells. The blasting may be done with aluminum, titanium, silicon sodium chloride and hydroxyapatite oxide. In the electrochemical treatment acidic and basic solutions at different temperatures to allow incorporation of ions of Ca, F and P. The laser treatment and plasma spray surfaces are shown, with high levels of roughness, being characterized in macrorugosidades are employed. Different surface treatment must be researched to the best indication of a particular treatment. | en |
