Avulsão dentária : revisão de literatura

Abstract

A avulsão dentária é o deslocamento do dente para fora do seu alvéolo. O tratamento adequado para esse traumatismo é o reimplante imediato, que oferece as melhores chances de cicatrização do ligamento periodontal. Quando o reimplante no momento do acidente não for possível, o dente deve ser armazenado em um meio adequado para manter as células do ligamento periodontal viáveis. Para reduzir os danos causados pela avulsão, existem alguns protocolos de reimplante, que podem ser seguidos, o que não garante uma resposta favorável, mas aumenta a chance de sucesso. Como consequência da avulsão dentária pode ocorrer à reabsorção radicular externa, que é do tipo: inflamatória quando o dano ao ligamento periodontal é associado à contaminação bacteriana no interior do canal e túbulos dentinários, ou por substituição quando não há células vitais do ligamento periodontal na superfície radicular, resultando na fusão do dente ao osso alveolar. Desse modo, o objetivo desta revisão foi buscar na literatura os protocolos de tratamento propostos para avulsão, reimplante dentário e suas consequências.

Tooth avulsion is tooth displacement out of its alveolus. The appropriate treatment for this trauma is the immediate reimplantation, which offers the best chance of healing of periodontal ligament. When the reimplantation at the time of the accident is not possible, the tooth should be stored in an appropriate way to keep the cells viable periodontal ligament. To reduce the damage caused by avulsion, there are some reimplantation protocols that can be followed, which does not guarantee a favorable response, but increases the chance of success. As a result of tooth avulsion may occur to external root resorption, which is of the type: where the inflammatory damage to the periodontal ligament is associated with bacterial contamination within the channel and dentinal tubules, by substitution or when no vital cells in the periodontal ligament surface root, resulting in the fusion of the tooth to the alveolar bone. Thus, the aim of this review literature for the proposed treatment protocols for avulsion, tooth replantation and its consequences.
