O objetivo deste texto é reunir uma série de registros – em geral, resultados de pesquisas nas áreas da história e das ciências sociais – que permitem esboçar uma topografia do campo religioso no Brasil nos anos 50 do século XX. O objetivo deste texto é reunir uma série de registros – em geral, resultados de pesquisas nas áreas da história e das ciências sociais – que permitem esboçar uma topografia do campo religioso no Brasil nos anos 50 do século XX. Enfatiza-se a consideração da pluralidade de expressões, tratando-se de seguir as suas reconfigurações na década em questão. Outra preocupação é apontar as conexões entre o que se passa no campo religioso e o tema mais geral da modernização, a fim de se assinalar alguma sintonia. Ao fazê-lo, vislumbra-se assim uma certa importância da questão religiosa dentro do panorama da época. The aim of this paper is to bring together a series of records – resulting in general from researches in the areas of History and Social Sciences - which enable the outlining of Brazilian religious field‟s topography in the 1950s. A consideration of the plurality of religious expressions is focused on, trying to follow their reconfigurations in that decade. The aim of this paper is to bring together a series of records – resulting in general from researches in the areas of History and Social Sciences - which enable the outlining of Brazilian religious field‟s topography in the 1950s. A consideration of the plurality of religious expressions is focused on, trying to follow their reconfigurations in that decade.
