High resolution spectra of a magnified bulge star were obtained at the 8 m Kueyen VLT-UT2 telescope with the UVES spectrograph. The source is a bulge giant of baseline magnitude VEROS = 18.4, magnified to V ≈ 18.0. These data allow us to derive the stellar parameters of effective temperature Teff ~ 3800 K, gravity log g ~ 1.0, reddening E(B – V ) ~ 0.7, metallicity [Fe/H] ~ −0.3 and and [O/Fe] ≈ 0.0 for EROS-BLG-2000-5. The giant appears to be located in the far side of the bulge.en
