A arte-educação na comunidade Restinga : andanças e mudanças

Abstract

O trabalho aborda a arte-educação baseada na comunidade. Os motivos do trabalho, objetivos e desafios são tratados na Introdução bem como a ligação da autora com a Restinga, bairro localizado na periferia de Porto Alegre. Os escritos são uma análise reflexiva do desenvolvimento do projeto de estágio, parte obrigatória para Licenciatura em Artes Visuais na UFRGS. Inicia com uma retomada histórica do surgimento da Restinga, resgata a remoção dos primeiros moradores do centro para o bairro e como foi seu desenvolvimento desde então, até os dias atuais, aponta as formações de identidade presentes a partir da história de formação. Apresenta a escola onde foi realizado o estágio, apontando as andanças realizadas. Relata sobre o projeto de Estágio, como foi desenvolvido e as mudanças no decorrer das aulas, ressalta como os alunos passaram a perceber o bairro depois de conhecer seu contexto histórico. Trata das questões da arte-educação, do ser professor e busca relacionar nas aulas a arte contemporânea. Conclui afirmando que os alunos nas aulas de arte-educação têm um melhor desempenho se o processo levar em conta suas realidades.

The work approaches community based art-education. The reasons of the work, objectives and challenges are covered in the Introduction, as well as the relation of the author with Restinga, a suburb located in the outskirts of the city of Porto Alegre. The writings are a reflexive analysis of the development of a project, during the training period towards the degree of Licenciatura in the Visual Arts at UFRGS. It begins with the historical review of the first years of Restinga, goes over the removal of the first inhabitants from the city center to the suburb and its development since then, pointing the identity formations that are part of its history. It presents the school where the training period was carried out and the paths taken during this journey. It covers the project developed during the training period, the changes observed during the classes, stating how the students started to be aware of the suburb after knowing its historical context. It also deals with art-education questions, of being a teacher and tries to relate all this with contemporary art lessons. It concludes by stating that students in art-education classes have better performance if their reality is taken into account.
