A constituição da identidade em meio ao conflito de diferentes : um estudo de caso no contexto da imigração

Abstract

Este trabalho aborda uma investigação que almeja favorecer um movimento crítico e reflexivo sobre a constituição identitária, ao considerá-la como permeada pela intermediação de uma alteridade e confrontá-la com a observação de um caso em que a percepção da diferença como eixo distintivo é abalada. Com esse intuito, deseja-se estudar um evento particular – o acontecimento da vinda de imigrantes europeus para o Brasil na segunda metade do século XIX, a partir da análise do estabelecimento de um conjunto de indivíduos de origem comum (a região germânica) em um distrito pertencente a um município no interior do Rio Grande do Sul.

This work addresses an investigation that intends to favor a critical and reflexive movement about the identity constitution, permeated by the intermediation of an alterity and confronted with the observation of a case in which the perception of difference as distinctive axis is shaken. To that end, this text aims to study a particular event – the happening of the arrival of European immigrants to Brazil in the second half of the nineteenth century, from the analysis of the establishment of a set of individuals from common origin (the Germanic region) in one district in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
