Sentidos da recreação terapêutica em pacientes imunodeprimidos internados na unidade de transplante de medula óssea do HCPA

Abstract

O presente estudo é uma pesquisa descritiva, exploratória de cunho qualitativo focada em três estudos de casos. Tem como objetivo geral a identificação da Recreação Terapêutica como recurso auxiliar no período de internamento de pacientes imunodeprimidos na Unidade de Transplante de Medula Óssea do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre e como objetivo específico descrever os sentidos da Recreação Terapêutica para estes pacientes. A metodologia utilizada foi através de questionários pré e pós-teste compostos por perguntas fechadas e abertas pertinentes para esta investigação. A análise baseia-se na articulação das respostas em ambos os questionários com o referencial teórico investigado. Foi possível perceber que a Recreação Terapêutica representa não apenas o entreter-se, o divertir-se e o ocupar-se para estes indivíduos, mas também um acolhimento e bem-estar dentro de um ambiente como o hospitalar, permitindo uma ressignificação de todo o contexto da enfermidade. Destaca que as atividades lúdico-terapêuticas auxiliam no tratamento através de seus sentidos, amenizando as sensações de desconforto geradas pela doença e pela internação. Os pacientes as percebem significativa e espontaneamente, reconhecendo a contribuição efetiva da Recreação Terapêutica ao final do processo.

This is a descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study focused on three cases. Its main objective is the identification of Therapeutic Recreation as an aid in the treatment of immune depressed patients, admitted to the Unit of Bone Marrow Transplant, Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre and the specific objective is to describe the meanings of Therapeutic Recreacion for these patients. The methodology was pre and post-test questionnaires consisting of closed and open questions relevant to this investigation. The analysis was based on the coordination of the responses given in both questionnaires with the theoretical investigation. It was observed that the Therapeutic Recreation is not just good to entertain, to amuse and to keep these individuals busy but also to collaborate to the well- being in a hospital environment providing a brand new sense to what being ill means. It highlights that therapeutic games activities help treatment through their directions, decreasing the discomfort sensation generated by the illness and the hospitalization itself. The patients spontaneously recognized the real contribution of Therapeutic Recreation at the end of the process.
