Capacidade de absorção e educação de nível superior no Brasil

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a relevância da educação de nível superior para a constituição da Capacidade de Absorção (CA), estruturando fundamentos teóricos que expliquem essa relação. Para tanto será realizada uma abordagem qualitativa através de revisão bibliográfica de conceitos relacionados, com o objetivo de sistematizar e analisar as principais contribuições teóricas sobre os temas. A CA é entendida como a habilidade das organizações de reconhecer, assimilar, transformar e explorar conhecimentos externos e aplicá-los comercialmente, e o principal produto de tal processo é a Inovação. O trabalho se conclui evidenciando o papel da formação superior no desenvolvimento de competências individuais e o capital intelectual que fortalecem o mosaico do conjunto de competências que compõe a CA. Os recursos humanos qualificados, formados pelas educação superior, atuam como gatekeepers e shepherds, agentes que auxiliam a identificação e disseminação do conhecimento. Por fim, ressalta-se a relevância das Instituições de Ensino Superior como agentes dinamizadores da CA e da inovação.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relevance of higher education in the development of Absorptive Capacity (ACAP), by establishing conceptual foundations that explain this relationship. To this end, a qualitative approach is employed through a literature review of related concepts, with the objective of systematizing and analyzing the main theoretical contributions on the topic. ACAP is understood as the ability of organizations to recognize, assimilate, transform, and exploit external knowledge, including its commercial application, with innovation being the main outcome of this process. The study concludes by highlighting the role of higher education in the development of individual competencies and intellectual capital, which strengthen the mosaic of capabilities that constitute ACAP. Qualified human resources trained by educational institutions act as gatekeepers and shepherds—agents who support the identification and dissemination of knowledge. Finally, the study emphasizes the relevance of Higher Education Institutions as key enablers of ACAP and innovation.
